We are very proud to announce our adoption of a new son, Tyler JianShe Schutte. Jian is pronounced like the name Ian with a J in front. She is pronounced "Shur". Tyler was born in Fujian Province, China on Nov. 20, 2000. He has lived in the JinJiang CWI (Children's Welfare Institute) all his life.
We started the process to adopt Tyler by sending a LOI (letter of intent) to China on Feb. 10, 2005. After a lot of paperwork, we were finally DTC (dossier to China) on Jan. 20, 2006! Then on Apr. 7, 2006 we received our TA (travel approval). On Apr. 14 we received confirmation of our CA (Consulate appointment), which is May 23rd.
We will use this webpage to keep everyone updated about our journey with photos taken as we go along. Please click on the links below to go to the pages. To see more photos and learn more about our vacation, please check out my son, Ryan's, webpage.
